Mulberry Fall 2013 RTW

 Mulberry's 2013 collection features oversized garment shapes contrasted through materials such as leather, wool and silk. The collection itself almost has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it through the collaboration of large scale checks and small detailed prints. Capturing the story line of Alice and her journey. It's particularly interesting how the garment shapes capture the journey of Alice and how the mixture and placement of prints tell the story on the surface of the garment. A Similar effect in which will be reproduced through out my FMP. There is a geometric element to the prints explored through a colour palette of rust, navy, black, brown, yellow and white. The colours make the simple prints dramatic without over powering the surface, this is also emphasised by the variation of texture.  Love the play of texture and geometric together.
